We are happy to announce that the Northern Wasco County Parks & Recreation District has received grant funding through Columbia Gorge Health Council for the ActiveRx Program for 2024.
If you reside within our District boundaries and receive benefits through OHP, SNAP or WIC you are eligible to participate in the ActiveRx Program. For 2024 we have 200 family pool season passes and 100 swim lesson scholarships available— space in the program is limited.
2024 Program Details:
Registration begins May 16 at 12pm
Registration is 100% online!
Family Pool Season Passes are $25
Swim lessons are no cost
All participants in the program must reside within the District boundaries and provide proof of address
All participants in the program must provide documentation of OHP, SNAP or WIC benefits
First, determine if you reside within our District boundaries— you can check our District boundary map HERE
Second, create a user account in our Daysmart Recreation Software platform. You can create a user account HERE You will need to add all family members to your account that you want to be on a family pool season pass or that you want to sign up for swimming lessons. All user accounts must have a valid physical address and email address and all users must have a date of birth entered. Please note family pool season passes are limited to two adults and up to four children residing at the same address. If you have additional family members residing at the same address that you wish to have on your family pool season pass, please contact the District office. There is an additional fee of $20 for each additional family member that is added to a family pool season pass.
Third, at 12pm on May 16 registration will begin for the family pool season passes and for swim lessons:
For season passes, login to your user account, make sure “Location” is set to “Aquatic Center” and select the family pass membership option and add the desired family members. Then go to checkout, enter the coupon code and pay the $25 fee by credit card.
For swim lessons, login to your user account, click the Register link, make sure “Location” is set to “Aquatic Center” and search for the desired class session, class level and time slot. Register the child for the desired class, go to checkout, enter the coupon code and finalize the transaction. The coupon codes for the family pool season pass and for swimming lessons will be posted here at 12pm on May 16.
Proof of District residency requirement: at your first visit to the pool with a season pass or for swim lessons, you must bring proof of District residency. This can be a government issued ID with your address on it or a utility bill showing your current address.
Documentation of OHP, SNAP or WIC benefits: At your first visit to the pool with a season pass or for swim lessons, you must bring documentation of OHP, SNAP or WIC benefits. This can be a program benefits letter, program issued card or program statement.
Program Requirements:
Every individual on a family pool season pass must consent to having their photograph taken and stored in our registration software when visiting the pool for the first time. This will be used to verify identity when checking in for swimming at the pool. Users in violation of this policy will have their season pass cancelled and will forfeit any fees paid to the District.
All participants in the ActiveRx program must reside within the District boundaries. Any participant found to be in violation of this policy will have their participation in the program cancelled and will forfeit any fees paid to the District. Anyone falsely claiming to reside in the District or providing false addresses in the District will have their participation in the program cancelled and will forfeit any fees paid to the District.
